Temperatures are going in opposite direction that you'd expect in August. Our average high is 82 degrees, but we'll only be in the 70s the next couple days. In fact, on Friday, some towns may not get out of the upper 60s.
It's all due to a fairly unsettled pattern bringing us abundant cloud cover and the chance for a few shower.
None of the upcoming days will be washouts, but you may need the umbrella briefly at times. As we head for the weekend, we'll get some drier air in here, and that may help lead to some more sunshine.
Summer's not done yet though. Next week will likely bring warmer air, with temperatures into the mid 80s by Wednesday.

Sunday: Mostly sunny. Highs: upper 70s.
Monday: Sunny, a bit warmer. Highs around 80.
