A pre-trial hearing is set for today — for the Plainville woman accused of shooting and killing her boyfriend outside a West Hartford supermarket back in April.
Angela Grasso-Cuhna has pleaded not guilty to murder in the April 9th shooting.
Police say she admitted to shooting Jose Mendez, 23, while they were riding in a car near Shoprite on Prospect Avenue.
She’s claiming self-defense because he threatened to kill her and her family.
Police initially charged her with manslaughter, but then upgraded the charges.
