Ridgefield Police

Ridgefield has won the title of safest Connecticut town.

Safe Choice Security, a wireless home security company, analyzed the 2012 FBI Crime Statistics report and compared the numbers on property and violent crime rates to compile the list of the 20 safest cities.

Ridgefield is safer than 96 percent of all U.S. cities, according to the report.

Weston, Darien, Wilton and Easton round out the top five.

    Safest town my ass. All the drug related deaths, suicides, deaths by underage drunk drivers and just the amount of hard drugs alone make this town not safe.

    I agree with Dave, I don’t understand how this town can be easily receptive to teen deaths, heavy drugs and alcohol and be considered safe. No offense but, if anything Ridgefield along with many other places are sick in the head. Like there is no conceivable way you can leave a child, YOUR child in the car without them ever crossing your mind. Not out of jealousy but, no town or city deserves to be crowned safest because when it comes down to it, nobody is safe.
