There's a new development in the theft of 16 guns from an Old Saybrook shop earlier this week.
Police Chief Michael A. Spera reports his department executed a search and seizure warrant at 66 Fenwood Dr. just before 6 p.m. on Friday. The search immediately provided evidence indicating a drug factory was operating out of the home.
Police believe this is connected to the Grouse Perch theft.
Three assault riffles--including a Buschmaster AR-15 and a loaded assault-style shotgun--were found in a wooded conservation area of Fenwick known as the Grove.
Stay tuned as FOX CT reports on developments in the investigation.
