A Bristol Police officer suffered minor injuries after a suspect dragged him a short distance Saturday afternoon.
Officers were responding to a call at the Huntington Woods apartment complex on Blakeslee Street where they located 24-year-old Mussa Mwanilelo, of Springfield, MA.
Police were investigating Mwanilelo’s car when he attempted to flee. When an officer attempted to stop Mwanilelo, he grabbed the officer, pulling him into his vehicle and drove off.
Mwanilelo fled the area where he was later located in Hartford on I-84. Connecticut State Police arrested Mwanilelo and returned him to the Bristol Police Department.
Mwanilelo was charged with assaulting an officer, reckless endangerment, and other charged. He was held on a $250,000 bond.
