State Trooper Crashes Into Truck on I-84: Police
An on-duty Connecticut state trooper crashed into a vehicle on I-84 west Sunday, state police said.
Trooper Donald Cornstock Jr. hit the rear end of a Toyota Tundra, when the truck stopped due to traffic around 2 p.m., police said in a statement.
A 32-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman, and a 7-year-old girl all suffered minor injuries to their necks and backs, and were transported to St. Mary’s hospital in Waterbury, according to the accident report.
Cornstock was also transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
The State Police Dodge Charger and Toyota Tundra both sustained heavy damage, police said.
