The heat is still here and now the humidity is back. Temps are above normal, into the upper 80s inland. Now with a southerly flow, the dew point is up to oppressive levels. The hot, hazy and humid conditions providing a heat index over 90 for much of the day.
Relief comes in the form of a cold front Saturday, which likely brings rain and thunderstorms. Some of those thunderstorms could be severe, especially if abundant sunshine graces our presence. That would help to destabilize the atmosphere.
The skies clear out for Sunday, but highs are noticeably cooler and less humid, topping out in the 70s, and staying there for much of next week.
