In this week's Hidden History we take you back 70 years to the deadliest tragedy in Connecticut's history.

July 6, 1944 marks the date of the Hartford Circus fire, and though it was 70 years ago it remains fresh in the minds of those who survived it.

As the Hartford Courant takes a look back at the recovery process after the tragedy, videographer Mike Townsend took the time to speak to some of the survivors as they memorialized the event.
