The Connecticut State Police identified the woman assaulted in East Hampton, Wednesday.
The victim is Lisa Rader, 58. Police are continuing their investigation.
Rader suffered multiple injuries and was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford.
Police said there is no suspect or person of interest at this time.
The incident happened at at 183 White Birch Rd.
The incident happened at a small farm with horses and an animal control officer was on the scene. Investigators in blue jumpsuits were looking in the barn and the house.
