Students Dismissed After Bomb Threat At Watertown High School
Students and Watertown High School have been dismissed for the day after being evacuated for a bomb threat.
Students had been moved to Polk School, 435 Buckingham St., and parents can pick them up there.
Watertown police said a search has turned up no evidence of a bomb at Watertown High School after a threat Friday morning.
Police said they received a third party complaint at 8:16 a.m. from the administration that a student supposedly overhearing another student, “making a claim that there was to be a bomb within the school building.” No other details were mentioned.
Tonight’s athletic events at school will take place as scheduled.
School officials followed the procedure and evacuated the school. It was searched by police K9 units, and nothing was found.
