Reward Increased For Information On String Of Vandalisms In Southignton
Southington is increasing a reward for anyone who has information that will lead to the arrest or conviction of anyone involved in a string of vandalism incidents on Berlin Avenue.
In the latest incident, suspect(s) spray painted words and figures on a newly paved section of roadway. Sidewalks and some homes were also defaced.
It is not believed that the latest incidents are related to vandalism of businesses in the city’s financial district.
The Town Council has clearly expressed their concern with the increase in vandalism around Southington. Therefore, after consulting with Chief Daly, we are increasing the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals who vandalized Berlin Ave from the maximum of $200 to a maximum of $1000. This reward is effective immediately. Point of Contact for this is Southington Police Department.
