A middle school girl in Hamden was approached by a suspicious male at her bus stop.

On Oct. 2 at approximately 7:30 a.m. a white male in his 20s, described as five-foot-eight with blonde/brown hair and in possession of a tan backpack, approached the 13-year-old at the intersection of Dixwell Avenue and Lexington Street. He asked her multiple questions, including “If I gave you a liquid would you drink it?” “If I gave you something to listen to, would you listen to it?” and “Do you like rap?”

Apparently the man did not like the girl’s responses because she said he then told her she was “no fun.” He then walked away heading north on Dixwell Avenue.

The girl told police she felt “uneasy,” fearful and intimidated.

If you recognize the man in the surveillance photo please call Officer Jay Bunnell at 203-230-4000.
