The Lux Bond & Green jewelry story in West Hartford Center was robbed Wednesday afternoon at 12:17 p.m.
Sources said multiple suspects used mallets to smash cases in the store at 46 Lasalle Rd., and took a significant amount of items.
The suspects left in two other cars that witnesses say were parked on Ellsworth Rd. Police believe to be stolen, and hit three other cars on Lasalle Road in their escape.
The store was robbed by two men in June 2010 who used sledgehammers to break the glass on the cases. John McCorkle was arrested a year later for the crime.
