Around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, police got a call about a person who was hurt in front of a home at 83 Steeley Street in Bridgeport.
When they arrived, they found a man “lying in the road in a large pool of blood,” Bridgeport police said.
Ivan Rodriguez Mendez, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was involved in an altercation with one or more people, witnesses told police.
One suspect had a knife and several shots were fired during the incident, witnesses told police.
Investigators determined that the victim was stabbed to death.
