UPDATE: Police have arrested the driver involved in this hit and run.
Hugo Cruz-Gregorio, 33, of Norwalk is charged with driving under the influence, evading resulting in death, and other motor vehicle charges.
He is being held on $750,000 bond.
NORWALK- A car accident involving pedestrians occurred in the area of 50 Woodward Avenue around 8:30 pm on Friday, Oct. 24.
Following numerous 911 calls, Norwalk Police, Fire and EMS arrived on scene and found three victims. The driver of the vehicle had fled the scene; EMS transported the victims to Norwalk Hospital.
One of the victims died from their injuries while the other two sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Woodward Avenue is closed from Grove St. to Burritt Ave. The investigation into the crash is on-going and a person of interest has been detained. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Norwalk Police Department at 203-854-3114 or The Norwalk Police Tipline at 203-854-3111.
