Kaci Hickox, New Jersey Nurse, Ebola

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Health Department says a nurse who was quarantined after working in West Africa with Ebola patients is being released.

The state says Kaci Hickox has been symptom-free for 24 hours and will be taken on a private carrier to Maine, where she lives. Hickox has complained about her treatment in New Jersey and was talking about suing. She was the first person forced into a mandatory quarantine in the state.

The governors of New Jersey and New York imposed 21-day quarantines for medical workers returning from West Africa after a doctor tested positive for Ebola last week.
