MILFORD – Train service was suspended in both directions in Milford after a woman was struck and killed.
The accident happened at 12:21 p.m. Monday afternoon.
Around 2 p.m. Metro-North tweeted that service had resumed, but people were seeing delays up to 60 minutes.
Officials say the woman was trespassing on the tracks.
She was struck by the 93 Amtrak Train, which is a Northeast Regional Train.
While service was suspended between Bridgeport and New Haven, passengers were transferred to buses from Milford.
