Experts from the Humane Society of the United States came to Connecticut today to educate people about how to deal with coyote encounters.
Some of the tips included eliminating outside garbage and compost that may attract animals.
Laura Simon, a wildlife ecologist with the Humane Society, also gave tips on how to get coyotes off your property. "You can change a coyote's behavior," she said. Most coyotes aren't at your home to hurt you; they just want food.
