Middletown may implement school uniforms
MIDDLETOWN–Middletown High School’s hallways may look a bit different if administrators get their way.
Tonight, parents, students and administrators gave their opinions about implementing school uniforms. There are no current plans, but the proposal is being considered by the governance council.
Principal Colleen Weiner says there are many opinions not just because students like to express themselves through clothing, but because uniforms mean financial implications for families.
One junior at the school, Frhana Marieya, is pro-uniforms. “It gives you a chance to decrease bullying percentage,” she said.
