VERNON – Police released a security camera photos of a man who is suspected of burglarizing a gas station twice in one week.
Early Thursday morning, police said they responded to a commercial burglary alarm at Vernon Mobil, 447 Hartford Tnpk.
Police said forced entry was made into the building and a large amount of cigarettes were stolen.
The suspect is described as a white male, thin to average build with a distinctive black and white motorcycle helmet, eye glasses, light colored coat, dark pants, dark sneakers with light laces, a dark glove on his right hand and a light glove on his left hand. Police said an operator matching the suspect’s description was seen driving a sport style motorcycle heading north on West Street in Vernon around the same time as the burglary.
Police believe the same person also burglarized the same business on Tuesday. The Vernon Mobil has been the subject of repeated burglaries over the last four months, according to police.
