Age-related hearing loss is common, but experts say there are some things that everyone can do now to prevent more serious hearing issues. Staying away from loud noises is a given, but experts said excessive use of headphones and ear buds doesn't help.

Experts said that heredity is also a big factor in age-related hearing loss, and here are two warning signs that it's coming on: hearing things but not understanding them, and having family members complain that you're not responding--especially if you're in another room.

The Food and Drug Administration has approved a new two-in-one pill for diabetes.  British drugmaker Astrazeneca says Xigduo XR combines two anti-hyperglycemic agents.

It can help improve glycemic control in adults with Type 2 diabetes as long as they diet and exercise. The drug is not recommended for patients with Type 1 diabetes or diabetic keto-acidosis.
