SOUTH WINDSOR–An elderly South Windsor woman fell down a 50-foot wooded embankment Friday afternoon.
She suffered non-life threatening injuries. Fire and police officials used a low-angle rope rescue method to retrieve the woman from the embankment, which is just off of Oakland Road.
The woman, who has Alzheimer’s, had walked away from home.
