NEW BRITAIN--Accounting students at CCSU experienced a bit more excitement in class on Friday than usual as 29 students participated in the "Adrian Project."

The Adrian Project involves special agents from the IRS Criminal Division who participate in hands-on activities that are a bit more interactive than just crunching numbers.

Seventeen IRS agents were on campus assisting the students with the Adrian Project, including Amy Hosney, a CCSU grad and special agent in the IRS Criminal Division. "We like to expose accounting students to different jobs, different careers that they can get into federal law enforcement," Hosney said.

After taking his best shot in a simulated firearms scenario, CCSU senior Zachary Khan said, "Something so hands on like this where you get to meet so many of the agents and get involved, it's an awesome experience."
