MILFORD – It’s a weekend to pay respect to veterans.

Mayor Benjamin G. Blake of Milford and Tom Flowers, Chairman of the Veteran’s Ceremony and Parade Commission announced several events for people to salute veterans.

On Saturday there’s “Red, White & Blues” from 10:00a to 7:00p.m. at Lisman’s Landing.

There will be blues bands, food & beer trucks, touch a truck, face painting, photo booth and a spectacular fireworks display to cap off the night.

Bring a non-perishable food donation to support the Storehouse Food Pantry of Milford, in partnership with the Connecticut Food Bank.

On Sunday, you can watch the United States Military Academy Black Knights Parachute Team jump in to Wasson Field at 12:30 p.m. and then line the streets for the Annual Veterans Day Parade which starts at 2:00 p.m.
