DANBURY — Police are investigating a hit and run crash that left one dead on Saturday morning.
According to police a 23-year-old Bethel resident was struck in the area of South Street and Great Pasture Road around midnight.
Witnesses saw the victim in the middle of the roadway and stopped to aid them.
The victim was transported to Danbury Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Witnesses tell police that they saw a dark-colored SUV flee the scene.
