GREENWICH — An Ohio man has died after being injured on top of a Metro North train on Sunday morning.

Brian McClellen, 21, of Ohio was found on fire on top of the 5:00 a.m. train from Stamford to Grand Central.

According to MTA officials, passengers reported a power outage on the train when they pulled into Riverside Station. When train crew members went to check out the top of the train, they found  McClellen on fire.

Crew members quickly extinguished McClellen and brought him to the platform. He was then transported to Westchester Medical Center with serious injuries.

Crews had to temporarily shut down the overhead power lines as a precaution.

Passengers were able to catch another train to Grand Central and service was not greatly impacted.

It is unclear why McClellen was on top of the train and why he was on fire.

The train was brought back to the Stamford station for further investigation.
