EASTON--Shop for your Thanksgiving table while having a whole lot of fun! Silverman’s Farm in Easton is busy this time of year, as folks flock to the farm market for sixteen varieties of pie, baked fresh on-property.
The Petting Zoo is home to many furry friends, such as a buffalo, donkey, goats and sheep. Little kids are drawn to the new village featuring about 100 rabbits! “On the weekend, we let them pet the bunnies,” says manager Judy Smith.
Children also love the new Cereal Bowl play space. “There’s ten tons of kernel corn a foot deep, surrounded by hay bales, so it makes it look like a bowl,” says Irv Silverman, proud of the 50-acre farm started by his dad in the 1920s. “You go for a day trip and you’re doing all kinds of things, being entertained, and you’re going shopping at the same time and showing kids what the country life was like.”
