ANN ARBOR, MICH – Ford Motor Company released CGI images of the upcoming Shelby GT Mustang.
The Shelby GT350 Mustang will be is powered by a naturally aspirated, 500 horsepower 5.2-liter V8 engine. The car will be revealed as part of the Los Angeles Auto show which starts this week.
The Shelby dates back to 1965 when Carroll Shelby customized the stock Mustang fastback.
It will have 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels that are 10.5 inches wide in front, 11.0 inches in the rear fitted with custom Michelin designed for road or track.
The Shelby has unique body work from the windshield forward and is up to two inches lower than Mustang GT. The hood has been lowered compared to the base Mustang. Many body panels are unique to the Shelby.
