Karla Kress-Boyle loves hip-hop, jazz and ballet. "I've danced my whole life, since my aunt gave me tap shoes when I was a baby in the hospital, and I've literally been dancing ever since," says this West Hartford mom of two who considered opening a dance studio but realized her town is already full of them. , home to after-school dance instruction for older kids, as well as toddler art, music, theatre and yoga classes in the morning. Open since September, her business is a warm, welcoming place where participants feel stimulated in a creative environment.
