STAMFORD – Police arrested a man on child pornography charges Friday.
Ranjer Gonzalez, 34, was arrested after an investigation that started in August, which showed numerous images of child pornography was being downloaded through a modem at his address. Police determined that the only computer modem was in the room Gonzales occupied.
Gonzales originally denied involvement, but was seen by officers trying to hide a laptop under his bed. Police later determined that the computer contained 11,400 images of child pornography. Gonzales gave a statement to police where he admitted to police that he was responsible for downloading the material. Police also discovered that a three-year-old child was residing in a room next to Gonzalez.
Gonzalez was charged with possession of child pornography and importing child pornography. He was held on $150,000 bond. DCF was notified that the child had been in the same house.
