MIDDLETOWN – A man is facing several charges after police said he ordered his 50 pound dog to attack a woman with whom he was arguing.
Alan Walden was charged with disorderly conduct, assault and risk of injury to a minor.
Police say Walden with arguing with Myla Cammilletti over a tire. Their 17-year-old daughter was also present during the argument. Police say, Walden tried to punch Cammilletti, but she threw a tire iron at him and cut his hand. The daughter ran inside the home.
Then, police say, Walden went into the house, locking Cammilletti out and preventing his daughter from leaving. Police say Cammilletti attempted to remove the daughter after she gained entry due to Walden’s intoxicated and violent state.
At that time, police said Walden started hitting Cammilletti and commanded his dog to attack her. Police said the dog bit Cammilletti four times and the daughter had to “rip the dog off.”
Walden was arrested and then released under court order to restrict him from possessing controlled substances or alcohol.
