Robber in New London fails to take anything from DB Mart

NEW LONDON–One would-be robber failed to gain any riches from his travails.

At 4 a.m. on Nov. 18 a masked man who was armed with a semi-automatic handgun entered the DB Mart, located at 268 Bank Street. There were two other customers in the store, and the suspect demanded they get down to the floor.

new london suspectThe suspect demanded money from the store clerk, but the employee refused to help the suspect, even after he¬†threatened to shoot the employee. The suspect couldn’t open the cash register, so he took of his mask and left the store.

The suspect is described as a black male between five-foot-seven and five-foot-nine, about 210-220 pounds with a bald head. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, blue sweatpants and carrying a gray backpack.
