BRIDGEPORT–The Connecticut State Police executed several search warrants between Oct. 29 and Nov. 18, resulting in the seizure of guns, drugs and a stolen vehicle, as well as an arrest.
In all, police found 220 pounds of synthetic marijuana, 19 pounds of marijuana, 22 pounds of assorted synthetic narcotics–including meth, Molly, bath slats and others–96 baggies of heroin, chemicals used to prepare the narcotics, numerous bags for packaging narcotics for sale and distribution, five stolen handguns, 187 rounds of ammunition, one stolen vehicle and $22,000 in cash.
Michael Young, 43, of Bridgeport, was initially arrested on Oct. 29, and then was severed an arrest warrant on Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. at the Bridgeport Correctional Center for the rest of items seized over the three-week period. He was being held on a $450,000 bond from an arrest related to the previous search warrants. At the time of his initial arrest Young had three driver’s licenses from three states with three different names–all with his photo–on him. The new arrest warrant carries a $500,000 surety bond, and he is due to appear in court on Nov. 19.
The following are the charges against Young: operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, criminal possession of a firearm, theft of a firearm, criminal possession of a stun gun, possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school and forgery in the second degree.
