SOUTHINGTON–State Police made an arrest Thursday night after an investigation into child pornography.
In October, the State Police Computer Crimes Unit began looking into the sharing of child porn online. The investigation led them to a home on Little Fawn Road, and to a suspect, William Kalvinek.
Along with the Department of Homeland Security and Southington Police, State Police arrested Kalvinek, 46, on Thursday night. Several files and items were seized.
Kalvinek was charged with possession of child pornography in the first degree and promoting a minor in an obscene performance. He was released on $75,000 bond and is due in court Dec. 1.
