NEW HAVEN--'Tis the season for holiday lights!
It's time for the annual Fantasy of Lights show in New Haven, which is put on by the Easter Seals-Goodwill charity. "We'll raise about $150,000 at this event," said Richard Borer, the president of East Seals.
It's the 20th anniversary of the event, and each year more than 100,000 lights are strung up for a spectacular holiday show. It costs $10 per car to drive through the showcase--and $25 for mini buses and $50 for full sized buses--and hundreds of cars show up each night the event is open. The event runs from Nov. 21 through Jan. 6, 2015 and is held at Lighthouse Point Park.
A team of volunteers, led by maintenance coordinator Tim Johns, helps repair any bulbs that go out to keep the event sparkling throughout.
You can visit the Fantasy of Lights Sundays through Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
