Looking for drug dealers, Hartford police catch burglary suspects
HARTFORD – Police conducting surveillance for drug dealers nabbed men they said stole metal from a vacant home.
Officers were staked out on James Street when they saw three men leaving the rear of 68 James St. pushing a hand truck with a large object on it. Police said they had removed a large hot water boiler, three radiators and eight pieces of various pieces of copper tubing. The building was vacant and police believe they gained entry through the basement door.
Police said Gerardo Conde, 47, Jose Pabon, 45, and Luis Conde, 39, all of Hartford, were arrested on burglary and larceny charges.
