KILLINGLY — A Massachusetts man was arrested after he led State Police on a high speed chase on Sunday morning.

According to State Police, Matthew Deyette, 39, of Shrewsbury, M.A. was traveling at a speed of 95 miles per hour on I-395 in Killingly.

When troopers began to follow Deyette’s vehicle, he began to pick up speed while illegally passing other vehicles. More troopers joined the pursuit between exits 93 and 94.

At one point, Deyette was clocked traveling at 122 miles per hour.

Troopers eventually stopped Deyette just north of exit 94 around 3:00 a.m.

Deyette was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. He was released on $500 cash bond.
