Foodshare exceeds their goal for Thanksgiving turkey donations

BLOOMFIELD – Foodshare extended their hours Monday evening hoping to bring in a final boost of donations, and it worked.

The organization has secured Thanksgiving turkeys and meals for 19,896 families.

Foodshare is still looking for monetary donations. They have raised $574,255 toward a goal of $900,000, leaving $325,745 to be raised by Sunday.

You can make donations on at www.foodshare.org.

Foodshare will also be accepting turkeys for the December holidays. They will be open until 6:00 PM today, and from 8:00 to 10:00 AM tomorrow.
