Tuesday, The New York Times posted “The Thanksgiving Recipes Googled in Every State.” They looked at which foods were unusually popular in each state , not just the most common Google search (because that would be ‘turkey’ for everyone).
The blurb for Connecticut reads:
Besides its official nickname, the Nutmeg State, Connecticut is also known as The Land of Steady Habits. What could be a steadier habit than eating – and looking up online – butternut squash casserole year after year? Creamed onions, likewise. The popover, an Americanized version of Yorkshire Pudding, probably has a better claim on nostalgia than steadiness.
