Police cruiser hit at DUI checkpoint in Norwalk by alleged drunk driver

NORWALK-  A police cruiser was hit at DUI checkpoint early Thursday morning by an alleged drunk driver.

Police say Matthew Dicesarre, 27, of Westport crashed his vehicle into the back of a police cruiser around 1:22 a.m. at a DUI Checkpoint around West Avenue near Interstate 95.

Dicesarre was charged with DUI shortly after the crash.
