An early start to the ski season here in Connecticut. At Woodbury Ski Area they're making snow on top of the snow that fell the day before thanksgiving. The park says it now has three trails open for skiing and two open for tubing. Meanwhile Mohawk Mountain has three lifts working on four trails.

Although Ski Sundown was covered in white on black Friday, the base needs some more nights of snow making to be ready for skiers. Ski Sundown plans to open next Friday and when they do open it'll feature a brand new run. In the off-season, crews cleared trees for a double black-diamond trail called "Satan's stairway" which Ski Sundown says will be the steepest trial in Connecticut.
