DERBY- Griffin Hospital enacted its Ebola response plan after a man who just returned from Liberia was brought in by ambulance on Saturday night.
A spokesman for the hospital says the man is not showing signs of Ebola symptoms. The hospital notified the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the State Department of Public Health. Authorities then determined the patient did not have symptoms of Ebola.
Officials say the man is still at the hospital but is not under quarantine.
According to the hospital, staff taking care of the patient before officials determined he didn’t have Ebola were asked to take their temperature twice a day as a precaution.
