Three Hamden teens arrested for the assault, robbery of another teen
HAMDEN – Police arrested three teens on charges they beat another teen and took his phone and money.
On Saturday at 7:45 p.m., police responded to the report of a robbery in the area of Dixwell Avenue and Arch Street. Police found a 16 year-old Hamden resident on Woodin Street, when he said he was hit in the head from behind and knocked to the ground. One of the suspects held him while another stole his cell phone and $2.00 from his pockets.
With the help of the victims father, police located the three suspects at a restaurant on Dixwell Avenue. One of the suspects had a black colored BB gun, and police were able to find the victim’s cell phone.
Police arrested the three juveniles who are from Hamden. One was 15 and the other two are 16-years-old. All were charged with robbery, assault, breach of peace and larceny. One of the 16-year-olds was also charged with illegal use of a facsimile firearm.
The juveniles will appear in Juvenile Court on December 12th.
