WINDSOR LOCKS — An alert for travelers heading to Bradley Airport anytime soon: the airport is changing traffic patterns to prepare for the demolition of the old terminal B.

Officials said that new construction signs and lane markings will guide travelers around the airport and to terminal areas.

Some delays are expected as drivers transition to the new traffic pattern.

Beginning on Dec. 5, the upper level departures roadway will be permanently closed to all traffic immediately beyond Terminal A and the Sheraton Hotel. As a result, all lanes of traffic will be diverted from the upper roadway to the lower roadway just after the Sheraton Hotel. The right lane of the lower level arrivals roadway immediately after Terminal A will also be permanently closed with traffic being shifted to the left lanes.

During the week of Dec. 8, through Dec. 11, the entire upper roadway will be closed to all traffic from 7:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.. During these hours all traffic will be directed to the lower roadway.
