SIMSBURY–An online petition to reverse a pay cut and keep Simsbury’s first selectman in office is gaining steam.
The petition, which is posted on MoveOn.org, continued to gain signatures on Wednesday.
As of late afternoon, there were already 960 Simsbury residents who signed the petition, which calls on the board of selectmen to reverse the decision to reduce Glassman’s salary before the end of her current term.
Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. the Democratic Town Committee will meet to discuss what comes next and possible replacements.
The board of selectmen members will meet again on Monday.
