Retired Waterford police K-9 passes away
WATERFORD – Police announced Frido, one of their canines who retired from his police duties, has passed away.
The department posted the news on it’s Facebook page.
Frido was part of the department for five years. His duties included searching for drugs, suspects and missing people. Police said Frido was “goofy and loveable, and very approachable by people, especially kids. His favorite after hours activity was playing fetch, you’d tire out well before he would!”
Frido handler was Lieutenant Stephen Bellos.
