BRIDGEPORT–Police continued to search for the driver of a white SUV which ran another car off the road, injuring an 11-year-old boy and killing his mother.
Not long after the crash, police released surveillance video showing the deadly hit-and-run. In it, you can see the white SUV changing lanes, rear-ending Evelyn Agyei’s Subaru on Boston Avenue, and then hitting it again.
The Subaru smacked into a tree, killing Agyei.
Because the SUV hit the Subaru twice, police said they’re not ruling out anything, including the idea that the deadly hit-and-run was intentional.
“We’re asking people who live in the neighborhood and beyond the neighborhood if you have a neighbor who has a white type suv that has new damage to the front end to contact us,” said Bill Kaempffer, the spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. “We need to find out what happened.”
Police said they have also reached out to area body shops to look out for white SUVs needing work in areas consistent with the crash.
