Freezing drizzle led to dozens of accidents across the state this morning. Most highways/side roads/driveways/sidewalks were ice rinks this morning.

Rain will fall heavily during the day today, with some breaks in the action expected by late afternoon. That said, it certainly won't be a nice day to be outside at any point today. Up to 3 inches of rain is certainly possible in spots.

A flood watch is in effect for the entire state. There is also a high wind watch and a coastal flood warning in effect for the shoreline. All of this activity is due to a powerful nor’easter passing through. Temperatures will top out around 40.

Moisture lingers into Wednesday in the form of a few rain and snow showers, with breezes continuing through midweek.

Thursday morning could have a few snow showers, and those may lead to a minor accumulation in spots.
