HARTFORD- Hartford homicide detectives made an arrest overnight in a deadly stabbing from over the weekend.
The suspect, Lashawn Davis, 27, was arrested and is due in court Monday.
Detectives say Jonathan Cox, 34, of Hartford was stabbed several times inside a home at 164 Benton Street around 10:09 a.m. Saturday.
When detectives arrived they found the victim on the third floor of the home. He was transported by EMS to Hartford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say a search warrant was executed for the home to gather forensic evidence.
Hartford police say this is the city’s 16th homicide this year.
