MIAMI (KSTU) — Tensions ran high after the BYU Cougars lost to the Memphis Tigers in double overtime (55-48) at the Inaugural Miami Beach Bowl.
A brawl broke out involving several players on both teams.
BYU officials did not comment on what penalties, if any, the players involved in the fight will face, but BYU Athletic Director Tom Holmoe released the following statement:
“We expect better of our athletes, even in the face of a difficult loss. We intend to fully review this matter.”
